Stories

Section updated: 11/02/2002

So far in this section, I have included four of the numerous stories that I wrote during Secondary School for my English Class.

I have chosen "Does Poetry Have A Place In Modern Society?", "Where there's a will there's a way", "My Summer" and "Life Consists of Missed Oppurtunities!" because they are what I consider some of my better stories. I have always striven to stretch the title of an essay, so that I could turn it into a story, not liking to write essays. :-)

"Life Consists of Missed Oppurtunities!" is one of which I am particularly proud, due to the fact of how I twisted the title and to the funny, if a little puerile humour that it contains.

I am also happy with "My Summer" as I also twisted it out of the usual, "what I did last summer" essay into something with a little more substance.

"Where there's a will there's a way" is one of my better attempts at a sort of fantasy based stories. I put more effort than I usually did into this story in comparison to some of my other english essays and my teacher was quite happy with it. Cookies for anybody who can tell me what book I got the name of Garulf from! :-)

"Does Poetry Have A Place In Modern Society?" is an essay title which I turned into a story. However I think that even though I did turn it into a story, the importance of poetry is still presented.

Hopefully you will enjoy them.

I intend on adding more, some will probably be more old stories which I wrote for my English Class but also hopefully I'll sit down and write some new ones in the near future.
