The Future... - 17:00 22/10/2002
I have seen the future...it involves simplicity and ranting. Well, I've decided it's time for another redesign...possibly. :-) Not sure if I will change how the site looks, I might, I have an idea, but it'll probably be so minimalistic that it won't work. But I'm going to simplify the site itself. It'll just have sections, no sub-sections and I'll add stuff there. Just a link, and a quick paragraph about what the link is linked to.
The future as I've said, involves ranting....don't worry, you'll need to ignore a warning before you'll see it, so you'll all be warned before you get to look at the rants. The idea is for me to throw down whatever is in my head, much like Status Check above. Don't even think of mentioning the word weblog, there are similarities but I will not have a 'blog. The idea of my own is ludicrous, I'm far too boring.
Now you know what the future holds as well, the question remains how long it will be till it arrives. Let us wait and see
Status Check - 01:30 29/09/2002
My neglected little site. Like most personal websites how abandoned it has become and I suppose has always been. Promises made and rarely kept. I'll not make a promise that I will add something, since I have no idea if I will or not. I do hope to however. I want to write something new. At this time I have one short story started, a fantasy novel, half planned and half started and another idea for a novel partially thought about.
To my knowledge this is a little seen site, only the people who I tell have been here. But this does not matter to me. These people are my friends, and in some way they can learn more about who I truly am here. But, it is important to me just to have put my stuff up somewhere. If somebody comes along and looks at it, that is a bonus. If that somebody likes something here, than that is another bonus. This site like most personal websites is a selfish effort, designed to flatter the maker's ego, provide hope, satisfaction and pride in his or her work and probably a reasurrance in that person's personality.
hmm...for those who for some reason may be interested in what I have been doing with my time, and to provide some explanation if not quite an excuse for the lack of activity here, then I would point you to Ardan Nights. I have no wish to explain it here, suffice to say it is an insanely ambitious project which I joined just under a year ago and in which I now find myself to be an integral part with far too many responsibilities. Yet I strive onwards.
To go back to the headline, "Status Check," here is my status. Tired, yet in some way active. Happy, yet in another way yearning for something else. Satisfied, yet disappointed. Constantly figuring out what to do now while at the same time looking to what I have to do after and what I want to do, which looks further off in the distance. Here's to life, to friends, to duties and to responsibilities and to the future.
Small Updates - 12:43 11/02/2002
Well I was feeling a bit guilty about how I haven't been updating this site so I decided to update a couple of the different sections.
First up, added a little bit about "Does poetry have a place in modern society?" to the Stories section. Also added a little update about the Netfeed website and finally updated the Software section.
Another Story - 00:21 11/02/2002
Wow! Can't believe I haven't added this to the news section until now. Added another story a month or two ago, but just didn't say anything here!
Anyway it's called "Does poetry have a place in modern society?". Another boring essay title which I turned into a story.
Can't promise when the next update will be. Pretty bogged down at the moment with assignments and stuff at college. I simply don't have the time to do stuff I'd really love to do like sit down and finish that short story I was working on, or do some work on that novel I was writing or even to try write another poem. Hopefully after March, I'll be able to grab a couple of spare minutes here and there to finish off that story.
Ammended Warrior Picture - 22:52 10/12/2001
Finally uploaded an ammendment to Warrior. It's been waiting to go up on the site for a number of weeks now, but I just haven't gotten around to putting it up. I've touched up the Warrior Head picture around the edges and given it a more brooding red background. Still not quite finished with it but almost there.
Haven't been the best at updating the site, although I have another story waiting to be typed up and added and I'm in the process of writing a new short story. I'm quite happy with it so far. Hopefully, I'll get it finished over the next few weeks. In the mean time I should have that other story on the site next week.
Story Added - 20:55 14/10/2001
Added a story to the Stories Section, the first of hopefully many updates. The story is called "Where there's a will there's a way" and is a sort of fantasy story. I wrote it for my English class, like the others, but I am quite happy with it, and actually used it as the essay in my Irish Leaving Certificate Exam.
