haunting

Dear Reader

have you ever haunted a house? I know that sounds strange, but that is what I am doing, haunting my home. It’s late at night, everybody is in bed asleep, except for what I suspect is a mouse in the bin behind me, but I cannot sleep and so I wander aimlessly round the house. It’s an odd experience, especially when it occurs to you, that you’re like a ghost in your own home.

Forgive the mood. I am a little tired, restless, worried, confused and unsure. Today, I was forced to think about the future once more. Always a dangerous thing for me, since I am not completely sure what it is I wish to do. I have ideas and they are becoming more defined and sure with time, but they are still multiple and when interest in one waxes the others wane. Time grows short, especially since the end of summer approaches, for me to consider what I want to do. I will have to make some decisions soon, or they may be made for me. That will only lead to stress and conflict with my parents. I sometimes have a problem with authority.

As I suspected, this is therapeutic. My mind is calmed, perhaps I can go rest now, a luxury that most ghosts do not have. I had hoped to write about something much more entertaining, informative and interesting for my next letter, but I guess this will do for the time being. Expect another one soon.

Sleep well you of the living.
Regards,
The Writer
